Fluffy Friends inspired concept spot. Bringing the fluffy friends world to life with the mischief they might get in to. With the star Fluffy Bad Bad pickn' on the little guy, things go from bad to worse for our hero.

Look and Feel
Initially a simple flat black and white idea. I quickly realized that i was goin to limit myself on adding depth and detail and mood.
So creating a scene rich in depth, focus, and mood to carry our spotlight our main character.
Using camera focus inside Aftereffects to create the depth and multi layering in 3D space to create the intended mood
A uniquely stylized forest that is cute and dark Bringing a theme of the characters to life. A forest lush with plant life and full of texture; cute things that bite .
So many trees, cant hug em all
Bringing the forest to life with so many varieties was a challenge. Since no actual color was to be used to create space and distinction. Along with combining simple shapes with complex shapes.
Using a simple more iconic tree and other simple leafless trees as the background. The Birch tree made the cut so, bringing the more detailed Birch tree to the foreground.
The Story(board)
With the design and aesthetic coming into fruition, its was time to set create the story. It was important to keep a sense of cute things bite with a sense of building momentum and suspense until the very end.
A super quick thumbnail turned into mood-boards created in Illustrator.
Workflow
The plan was to take it shot by shot. Setting up the different layers of depth. Here's a quick break down:
Layout: Every shot needs a multi-planed background for all the different foliage
Far background: slow moving distant trees, clouds.
Middle background: Moving at camera speed trees,dust.
Characters: Where the main characters will play. in their individual AE rigs.
Foreground/Super close up: Fast moving trees in front of camera.
